Rex Vegt

Rex has over 30 Years experience in Manufacturing Management in Australia, holding a number of senior positions including, General manager, Manufacturing Manager, Personnel & Industrial Relations Manager, Logistics Manager and Procurement Manager.

Rex has very broad experience at board level across a number of organisations and continues to strongly support small to medium enterprises across Queensland.

That experience includes:

  • Director of A.I.E.M.,
  • Director of the “Australian Technical College,
  • M.S.Q.  Industry Advisory Committee Member,
  • Councilor for the Queensland branch of the “Australian Industry Group”
  • National Executive Member of “Australian Industry Group”

Rex is currently General Manager of Atlas Heavy Engineering, a position held for the past 15+ Years.

Rex brings valuable insight and strategic thinking in assisting Gibsons shape its future.

Paul Dignam

Paul has worked in a range of industries including fibreglass, aluminium, engineering products, building products and industrial batteries with a long career in industrial marketing and general management before becoming a consultant with Gibsons in 2004.

He worked as a successful consultant across a range of industries buying the business in partnership with the current CEO Stephen Ross in 2010.

Paul retired in 2016 and joined the Advisory Board providing valuable assistance in building the future direction of Gibsons.

Bob Gibson

Bob established Gibsons Consulting in Brisbane in 1974 and retired from the company in 2004 to pursue his many other interests.

Bob has been an iconic figure in consulting in Queensland for 40 years. He began his working life as a mechanical engineer working with major manufacturing businesses in the UK and Canada. He returned to Australia, completed a commerce degree and established Gibson Associates, later Gibsons Consulting. He recognised that manufacturing businesses needed management consulting support from people who could understand and appreciate a technical environment and built Gibsons around that capability.

He maintains an active interest in the development of technology companies and is a director of or mentor to a number of businesses in that space.

Bob joined the advisory board in 2016 and brings a wealth of experience in shaping the future of Gibsons.
